Wanderson, the Brazilian winger who has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Barcelona in recent months, is set to join AS Monaco on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has impressed during his time at Ligue 1 side Nice, scoring eight goals and providing six assists in just 28 appearances this term. He will be hoping to continue his impressive form under new manager Leonardo Jardim, who previously worked with him at Porto.

Wanderson's move to Monaco comes as a major coup for the French club, who have struggled for consistency in recent seasons. The winger will provide much-needed depth in attack, with Monaco already having top-class talent in the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Thomas Lemar.

Monaco are also looking to strengthen their defence, with defender Marcelo Díaz reportedly close to joining from Atletico Madrid. The addition of Wanderson could help them challenge for titles in both France and Europe next season.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United or Barcelona will make any formal offers for Wanderson before the transfer window closes on August 9th. However, it seems likely that the winger will eventually find himself playing in the Premier League again, after his impressive displays at Nice.
